We booked well ahead and got a great price for a stay in a quiet, local Istanbul neighborhood without the tourists. The room was simple but clean and had all we needed, and the staff made us feel safe and welcome. Being close to the metro and metrobus made it easy to explore the city, and there were plenty of affordable restaurants and late-night spots nearby.
