Spacious, clean room with a comfortable bed and a small kitchen was there. Mohammed was a perfect host who helped with suggestions on getting around Istanbul, booked taxis, and was always available by phone. The apartment was close to restaurants, bars, public transport, and Taksim Square. A supermarket was just in front of the building.
